As part of the WCQS celebration of Black History Month artist Viola Spells remembers growing up in segregated Asheville.
It's been more than 50 years since Ms. Spells and other local high school students lead the effort to desegregate Asheville. Our interview with Ms. Spells first aired in November 2011.
