Asheville Symphony Presents Labor Day Concert in the Park
On Monday, September 6th, the Asheville Symphony Orchestra and Pack Square Conservancy will present a concert in Pack Square Park.
Maestro Daniel Meyer will lead the Asheville Symphony Orchestra in a special Labor Concert in Pack Square Park at 7pm.
On Labor Day, Monday September 6th, the Asheville Symphony Orchestra and Pack Square Conservancy will join forces to replace the workday woes with a concert in Pack Square Park at 7 pm.
In celebration of their 50th Anniversary, members of the Symphony will perform a 90-minute concert on the new Bascom Lamar Lunsford Stage in the park's Roger McGuire Green. The concert will be conducted by Symphony Music director, Daniel Meyer featuring light classical selections including Rossini's Finale to the William Tell Overture, Bizet's Suite from Carmen, and selections from Rogers and Hammerstein, John Williams and John Phillip Sousa.
General Admission lawn seating is FREE, so bring your blankets and chair and grab a plot of grass for the performance. A special reserved seating area close to the stage is for sale at $20 per seat. The concert is made possible in part by a grant from The Chaddick Foundation and is a benefit for both the Symphony and the Conservancy. All proceeds from the event will be shared by Asheville Symphony Orchestra and Pack Square Conservancy.
