Remembering Dave Brubeck
Tune in Friday at 2 when we'll remember Dave Brubeck who passed away earlier this week at the age of 91.
Unlike the vast majority of jazz musicians, Dave Brubeck was blessed with both talent and commercial success. His renowned 1950's quartet recorded standards like "Take Five," "The Duke," and "In Your Own Sweet Way." He was the first jazz artist to sell one million copies of an album and the second to appear on the cover of Time magazine. Brubeck died Wednesday, one day before his 92nd birthday.
Hosted by Nancy Wilson, this archival edition of Jazz Profiles celebrates the life and career of Dave Brubeck.
