WCQS is pleased to bring you our broadcast of the Asheville Symphony Orchestra’s opening night, September 15th concert. Listen Friday evening at 8.
On the concert: a performance of the Ritual Fire Dance by Manuel da Falla, and Alexander Glazunov’s violin concerto with soloist Chee Yun. Also on the program is the monumental Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Berlioz.
(You may remember that we always broadcast the ASO at 8pm on THURSDAY evenings. There is a Vice-Presidential debate scheduled for this Thursday evening at 9pm, so for this broadcast only, we’ll air the concert on Friday evening at 8.)
