WCQS to Air Landmark Radio Docudrama from L.A. Theatre Works
WCQS will air the radio docudrama of the L.A. Theatre Works production of Dustin Lance Black's "8", Tuesday night at 7. The play chronicles the efforts of the American Federation of Equal Rights to overturn Proposition 8. Directed by Rob Reiner, the production stars George Clooney, Martin Sheen, Brad Pitt and a slew of other notable actors.
In June, L.A. Theatre Works debuted a radio docudrama about Perry v. Brown, the federal court case that overturned California's Proposition 8 referendum banning same-sex marriage. Director Rob Reiner assembled and all-star cast to perform 8, which was written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.
